Numerical methods II
Course description: Basic numerical methods for finding and approximating eigenvalues and eigenvectors, and solutions of ordinary and partial differential equations. Least squares approximation and function approximation. Implementation and analysis of algorithms.
No duplicate credit for Math 403, Csci 403, Math 533 or Csci 533.
Prerequisites: Math 301, Math 322, Math/Csci 304, Math 291, or permission of department head.

The Semester score for the course will be calculated by using the weights (%) indicated below:

Notes:
- In cases of an excused absence, the instructor reserves the right to reweight the final exam in lieu of a make-up test.
- In the case where a student's score on his final exam indicates exceptional achievement above and beyond that indicated by the semester average, the instructor reserves the right to reweight the value of the final exam in computing the semester grade.
