Mathematical Statistics and Probability II
Course description: Continuation of Math/Stat 431/561. An introductory course in the theory of statistics and probability, using the concepts and methods of the theory of sets and calculus.
No duplicate credit for Math 432, Math 562, Stat 432, and Stat 562.
Prerequisites: Math/Stat 431/561, or permission of department head.
Text: Mathematical Statistics by Freund, 7th edition, Miller and Miller, Prentice Hall.

Notes:
- In cases of an excused absence, the instructor reserves the right to reweight the final exam in lieu of a make-up test.
- In the case where a student's score on his final exam indicates exceptional achievement above and beyond that indicated by the semester average, the instructor reserves the right to reweight the value of the final exam in computing the semester grade.
